The Vines
Planted in 2014, the vines at Le Vignoble de Chelsea are part of a landscape rich in potential. Though not currently operating as a producing vineyard, the property is home to cold-hardy hybrid grape varieties—Saint-Pepin, Marquette, Frontenac Noir, and Frontenac Blanc—well-suited to the Quebec climate and reminiscent of those found in the Eastern Townships.
Since acquiring the property in December 2023, My Catering Group has begun the process of restoring the vineyard with care and intention. The team is actively learning from experienced winemakers across the region, gaining insight and inspiration to guide the revival. Current efforts include re-pruning and trellising, with long-term plans to develop a sustainable winemaking program. Future goals include building a production facility with geothermal heating, integrating solar energy, and eventually producing up to 10,000 bottles of wine per year—all part of a vision to bring the vines back to life in a way that honours both the land and the community.
